Car Insurance Suzuki (Car Insurance). How do you prevent an accident? How do you prevent an accident? I'm getting my license tomorrow and my parents literally scared me so badly I don't even want to drive. They keep saying if I get into an accident the insurance will be too much and they won't be able to afford it. I don't want to screw up the insurance for my whole family. Anyone have any tips? - don't drive too fast -avoid blind spots -don't drive too close behind a person because when they stop you might run in the back of them -try to get in another lane safely if you think the person behind you is too close to your car - try not to put on brakes at the last minute when someone is behind you because they might run in the back of you your parents are making you too stressed and nervous talk to them well for one insurance isnt the only risk, probably the biggest risk is killing or seriously injuring someone or yourself on the road... the way to avoid it is keep your radio off, DO NOT USE A CELL PHONE WETHER ITS TEXTING OR CALLING as texting is 5x more dangerous than driving drunk, and calling is like 2x more dangerous.. avoid having pasengers especially ones that would talk to you a lot, dont speed, be alert... DRIVE DEFENSIVELY.. u get stressed then park your car and calm youself down to keep from getting mad and taunting someone.. DO NOT DRIVE UNDER ANY DRUG INFLUENCE other than caffeine and sugar... focus only on driving.. make sure and watch the signs.. never drive tired because its worse than driving drunk.... the point that you need to focus your eyes on is the farthest point of the road you can see while staying alert for whats around you.. always obey traffic laws and signs.. and read your states drivers manual because i cant list everything, wich u can find for free with a simple search to http://www.google.com/ have confidence in yourself on the road. you can do it, dont be scared.. dont drink and drive, you'll do fine.. they call it an accident you don't plan it you can try to prevent it. insurance only really goes up if your at fault so just be safe don't speed cut people of or text and drive noone ever goes out saying i think I'm going to get into an accident today though Think of all the possible ways someone can screw up then ask yourself how to avoid being in a crash. Basically prepare yourself and be ready for anything. Auto parts : Traction Mat Acura 1995 . Traction Plate Alfa Romeo 1996 . Trailer Alignment Device Audi 1997 . Trailer Brake Control BMW 1998 . Suzuki . How to Adjust the Headlights on a BMW 535iAdjusting the headlights on your BMW 535i must be done if you replace the headlight housing assemblies with housings that did not come pre-adjusted from the factory. A misaligned headlight can cause your headlight beams to blind oncoming traffic and, in turn, cause a car accident. And misaligned headlights mean you can't see the road ahead of you as well as possible. The 535i uses two adjustment screws to adjust the headlights. The vertical adjustment screw is located at the front of the grille, while the lateral (horizontal) adjustment screw is located in the engine compartment next to the fender--it looks like a long piece of white plastic with a Phillips-head on the end of it. Difficulty:Moderately Easy Instructions Things You'll Need Phillips-head screwdriverSuggest EditsItem AddWhy is it necessary?Done Step by Step : 1 Park your BMW 535i 30 feet away from a closed garage door. 2 Shine the headlights onto the garage door. 3 Open the hood and turn the vertical adjustment screw until the center of the headlight beams are positioned at the bottom of the door--where the door meets the ground. 4 Turn the lateral adjustment screws on both headlights until the headlight beams overlap by about half (40 percent to 50 percent).
Suzuki . How to Adjust the Headlights on a 2001 Mercedes Clk 240You can adjust the headlights on your 2001 Mercedes CLK 240 with the two 14mm adjustment screws on the top of the headlight housing assembly. The screw on the left adjusts the headlights vertically and the screw on the right moves the headlights laterally. You should only need to adjust the headlight housing if you replaced the headlights and they did not arrive pre-adjusted from the factory. Difficulty:Moderately Easy Instructions Things You'll Need Phillips screwdriver Step by Step : 1 Park your 2001 Mercedes CLK 240 with the front of the car 25 feet away from a closed garage door or wall. 2 Turn on the headlights. 3 Open the hood and turn the adjustment screws until the headlight beams overlap by 40 percent and the center of the headlight beam sits at the bottom of the garage door or wall. *** All vehicles have a safety catch that stops the released hood from popping all the way open. The purpose of the safety catch is to prevent the hood from accidentally coming open and obscuring your vision while you're driving. V Once the hood is up, it usually stays up on its own, unless you need to prop it up with a safety rod. If you haven't the faintest idea of how to get your hood open, head for the full-service bay the next time you go in for gas and ask the attendant to show you how to open the hood. You may pay a little more for fuel, but the lesson will be worth it, and you can get your windows washed and your tire pres sure checked for nothing! (If you're really short of cash, just ask for $5 worth of gasoline; the difference in cost will be negligible.) Part I: Getting Started. Here's how to open the hood of your car yourself: 113

Either consult your owner's manual, or try to remember the last time a service station attendant opened the hood of your car. Did he or she ask you to pull a lever inside the vehicle? Or did he or she go directly to the front grill? If the hood release is at the front of the car, look around and through the grill and feel under the grill and behind the bumper to find a handle, lever, arm, or button. Then pull, press, or push front to back and side to side on the thing you find until it releases the hood. If the hood release is inside the car, press, push, or pull it until you hear the hood pop open. The hood will open a little, but it will probably be stopped by the safety catch: a metal lever that, when pressed one way or the other, releases the hood so that it can open all the way. 2. With one hand, raise the hood as far as it will go. With the other hand, feel along the area between the hood and the grill for the safety catch. Release it and then raise the hood the rest of the way. 3. Secure the hood if necessary. Suzuki . What is the volume of one gallon of Diesel?
"Gallon" is a measure of volume; thus, a gallon of diesel (or any liquid for that matter) has a volume of one gallon, which is... Mercury Topaz. * If the hood stays up all by itself, fine. If it doesn't, look for a safety rod that's attached either to the underside of the hood or to the bottom edge of the hood opening. Either lift or lower the rod (depending on where it's located) and fit the end of it into the slot that's provided to hold it in place. On some vehicles, the hood is held up by two gas-pressurized cylinders known as hood shocks. If the gas has leaked out of these units, be careful because the hood could come down at any moment. If that's the case, replace these units or secure the hood with a broom handle or similar object." The Safe Way to Use a Jack The most obvious reason to jack up a car is to change a tire, but other jobs, such as inspecting brakes, may also require you to get under the vehicle. (Even if you're reed-thin enough to squeeze yourself between the pavement and the underside of your car, you still need room to move around and manipulate tools.) Chapter 2 has detailed information about the different types of jacks, as well as items such as jack stands (essential) and creepers (nonessential, but nice). This section explains how to use a jack safely and efficiently. The next section shows you how to change a tire after the vehicle is in the air. Chapter 1: Things Every Driver Should Know 1 7 Jacks are used only to get a vehicle off the ground. They should never be used to hold a vehicle in place. Even if you're simply changing a tire, you need to make sure that you've blocked the other wheels so that the car doesn't roll off the jack. You must use jack stands when you work underneath your car; if you don't, you run the risk of serious injury or even death. People have been crushed to death when vehicles that were improperly secured fell on them. Before you attempt to jack up your vehicle, observe the following safety precautions: Never change a tire on a freeway or highway. Not only can you be seriously injured, but you can also fall prey to carjackers. Don't exit the car Suzuki . There is water coming out of my tail pipe on my 1996 f-150 could this be a head gasket?

If you have no cellular phone and a public phone isn't near enough to make a call and get right back into your car, hang a white rag or a white piece of paper out of the driver's side window and wait for the highway patrol to rescue you.
